Alamo, being an unincorporated area in Contra Costa County, does not have a local Police Force. Alamo’s Police Services are provided by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department and paid for by the County with property tax receipts. Alamo is separated into Police Service Areas and Round Hill is part of the P-5 Service area which covers 736 parcels. RHPOA represents 396 of the 736 P-5 parcels.
Two Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Deputies and the operation of a dedicated police vehicle are funded through a special Country Tax Assessment of $470 in your annual property tax bill, along with funds provided from the County. The two P-5 Deputies who patrol our neighborhood are very familiar with our Residents and Community. Their dedicated presence makes our area a safer place to live in.
The Sheriff recommends that Residents use security alarms and cameras when not at home, use light timers when traveling, lock doors and windows, close garage doors and do not leave valuable items in autos. It’s only through the combined effort of both Police and Residents that crime can be prevented.
The Sheriff’s Department can be contacted by calling 911.
